Awards & Accolades
September 18, 2009Today I am simultaneously happy, proud, and humbled to announce that I’ve placed in the 2011 1st quarter AGWPJA awards, a division of WPJA
I’ve been honored to win a few awards for AGWPJA contests, this is my THIRD win for the WPJA. What makes this so special for me is not just the prestige or bragging rights. It’s because the image that won is one that I feel is indicative of the approach I take with my work.
These were the judges comments:
“Strong composition with the subject framed in the right third of the frame. Nice capture of emotion and gesture and the toning works well.”
This image, from Elton + Joylynn a wedding at Bangalore, India won 2nd place in the Ceremony categories
And there pre wedding images was taken at Botanical garden City of Bangalore
7th place – The Creative Portrait category
Judges Comment:

Really enjoy photographing Indian weddings because of all the vibrant colors in everyone’s clothing. We caught this great moment during Maiyaan oil ceremony. It’s showing the mixture made of turmeric powder, flour, and oil is applied to the bride’s face, arms, legs and feet to cleanse the body in preparation for the new life ahead of them.

10th Place
The other winning image was taken wedding reception at the Pulau Pangkor. Ceremony start at 4.00am in the morning, the images is show the musicians play music on beach side. Its really fantastic build and nice ambiance natural lighting we had. As I know the deco is worth about 30k.
